Inspiring Graphic Design

Holiday Madness

I've decided that throughout the holidays I'll post a few pics of inspiring people who know how to celebrate on stardoll. Dec. 1 pic; Fakeshake3.

MAJOR MAKEOVER; MISSSUNSHINE1902

This great user requested a makeover from me; I happily obliged. Lauryn, here are five different looks to choose from. Easy to style yourself!

I created Five different looks (to see pics larger, click on them)
Look #1; Holiday Glam
I love this look because its sophisticated, and around the holidays we all love a little sparkle. The updo is trendy and cute, and the earrings draw the eye to the face. Perfect!

Look #2; Sexy Beach
This look incorporates all the sexy so-cal beach appeal; the seductive eyes, the messy hair, and the beach inspired flower. The eyes have different shades of both blue and green, traditional water themed colors. The hair and lips are natural, and the hair looks casually tousled in a sexy way.

Look#3; Nature Goddess
This is a more natural, relaxed look that is also very pretty. The hair color/style is very relaxed and hippy-styled; it is inspired by Nicole Richies relaxed boho hair. The eyes pop with a light green eyeshadow and only a little bit of brown eyeliner and mascara.

Look #4; Real life BARBIE
This was a fun one! Barbie is all about being pink, perfect, and over the top. I added a bow to go with the perfect bleached blond hair. A combination of different purple and pink sparkly eyeshadows compliments the light pink blush on her cheek bones. Black liquid eye liner is on the outer corners, and a lot of mascara is on as well. Glossy lips in a natural color complete the pretty look without going over the top.

Look #5; Pretty, Soft & Feminine
This is a really girly look in subdued colors. Light gray shadow is on the upper lids with a hint of sparkle; the eyes are rimmed with black mascara and kohl eyeliner. The soft hair waves are feminine, and remind me of the current 50's housewife trend of beautiful hair. Cute pink earrings add a little something to the look, giving it a bit more of a girly twist.

Hope you enjoy Lauryn, and anyone else looking for some inspiration!
xoxo

Beautiful Job!

This was posted on the blog: http://hotbuysbazaar.blogspot.com/2010/11/more-fierce.html
Check out the great blog too while you're there!

As Seen on Stardoll; all about LOUIS VUITTON

As i checked out the starplaza, I though I recognized a certain dress!
This dress, "Pinstripe Full Dress"(15sd) is a replica of the Winter 2010 Louis Vuitton dress; actually, the first dress that showed in his show.
A picture you want? Sure. To see it larger, click on it.
Another similar dress is the Voile "Inspired by Louis Vuitton" dress. Not the best, but hey; its stardoll. No complaints.
Also; I posted this a while ago, but I'm still hoping; will this LV store EVER become a reality?!

So cute!

Hey dolls- this is a link to a great how-to video on a peacock style makeup on stardoll.
Also, heres a video for a real life look.

SO cute. Check it out!

Makeunder- Indiarosemp

This weeks make-UNDER? Indiarosemp
Of course, being unique is great, but sometimes its just too much. I made-under this stunning girl with so much creativity. Being designed to be on top will eventually lead to actually being on top!
Anyways, besides her obvious beauty that i hope she changes her medoll to, Indiarosemp has an amazing suite that was created by her; great 10 rooms&penthouse suite. Her designs are also for sale, which are really great. Buy one now? Yes. Respect her for her new make-under? Hell to the yes.

Unique Doll of the Day; Katt55

Loving this doll! Her unique hair is great, and her makeup is expertly applied. Her current outfit shown is perfectly vintage with a Burberry inspired scarf, ankle pumps, and a vintage Bisou dress that is a to-die-for neutral color. Check her out, and her small (but good!) collection of old DKNY.<3

I wanted to create a winter 2010 look that uses some of the hottest styles and trends. You can use different less expensive versions to create similar looks.
However; does anyone have these shorts on sale? Love to pay anything for them!

Doll of the Week; Boo4Bettz

The hottest stardoll right now? Boo4Bettz is officially my new stardoll idol. Her DKNY collection is gorgeous, and also branches out in some great LE and Hotbuys. Check her out ASAP!

SOLD

It's true- i sold my DKNY scuba to katt55 in return for old dkny maryjanes, dip dye dress, paisley dress, and wool scarf.
Like i said before- scuba is so not the latest thing.
What is really red hot right now you ask?
Not LE.
Not antidote.
DKNY black season!
It's to die for- so instead of trading all of your closet for a scuba, be smart; be on the search for THIS collection!
Look for shoes; they are covergirl worthy!

DKNY Scuba...?

I used to be in the mindset of "to die for!". Now, I don't really find it attractive, and has lost its appeal to me. I may sell it or trade it soon so anyone interested can let me know in my guestbook or by commenting here. I am not going to settle by trading with someone unless they have very valuable things that I want. Contact me at stardoll under "wildmaddie14".

Fame

It seems that even by not being a superstar many users, such as myself, still do have thousands of friends, and countless requests everyday (I feel bad when pressing the little heartbreak button, but oh well.) Maybe stardoll has evolved into something where people are no longer assuming only superstars can be fabulous. I'm both a superstar, and a nonsuperstar- depends on my involvement at the time! However, my point is that even during the times when I was not superstar i still had alot of visitors, requests, messages, and posts. It's nice to know that we aren't as judging as we were before.

Real Store coming soon? Or a fake?

Do we think this is going to become a real brand? Or did some talented computer techie create this? I'm hoping on a shooting star that this brand will become real and come out in June. If this ever becomes a real store, I love the handbag in the middle on the left. It's 28sd and is snakeskin print. I also love the khaki shine trench coat and the wild shoes. I adore all of this and I really hope that this Louis Vuitton fantasy becomes reality.

Coco Chanel, Done the Madeline way

The new label, called "Chanel Tribute" is gorgeous, if not mildly over priced. This is one of my favorite looks out of the entire collection. The bag is straw and very "summer at the hamptons." It is 18sd, and is called the "Wicker Chain Purse." The dress is very in because it is neutral and slightly risque. This "Yurle Apron Dress" is 36sd. The studded clogs have been seen on the runway and are quirky-cool. Again, the neutral theme. They are 22sd.

New Shop; Le Specs

This is going to be a newly opening shop.! Not sure when; just to let you know the "le" doesn't mean limited edition, it means "the" in french.

FYI

If any of you were wondering about the appearance of the bitch from the last post, here she is. I know what you are thinking ; ugly brown blush, even more ugly wanna-be neutral toned lipstick. Her hair style is odd, and her white satin bra is whore-ish. The black corset is somewhat making her look like a prostitute. Her necklace is old and way out of style.
Don't even get me started on the shoes.

The Bitch; Flor_14

Wow- what a bitch! Check out my guestbook to see this argument play out. This girl is someone who obviously isn't 18; no one is that immature. She brags about paying a lot of money on Stardoll, and no one who is 18 would even care that much. This immature little girl is getting in a little over her not so pretty head.

Pick of the Day: May 17

The pick of the day? The "Coco Dress 1937." for 13sd. Simple and chic. To accessorize this gorgeous dress I extenuated the mild gold undertones. I added the "Golden Waist Belt" for 6sd, and Elle "Stacked Cuffs" for 4sd. The headband is from Stardoll Archive for 4sd. Also some gold/black.brown vintage Hotbuys earrings.

The dress/belt are from Decades.
The headband is from Stardoll Archive.
The stacked cuffs from Elle.
The Hotbuys earrings are from Splendid

Hottest Hair for Spring 2010

The natural beachy look
[any length]
Relaxed beach-themed waves are making a comeback from last summer. Start by applying a styling mousse into your locks. If you shower b
efore bed, while your hair is damp tightly apply a bun in the middle of your head on the top. This will create volume. If you have thin hair apply thickening spray/mousse. When you wake up, lightly pull out the hair tie. Blow dry waves to take out all left over moisture. If you want, take a curling iron and curl several small pieces of hair framing your face.

The messy bohemian up-do.
[long hair]
Curl your entire head in layers so that there is a lot of volume. Run your fingers gently through curls to loosen the tight curls. Flip your head upside down and hair spray. I recommend Pure Abundance Volumizing Hair Spray. Flip back up. Create a loose pony tail in the middle of your head. Pin different waves surrounding the center of the pony tail around and inside. Use a chain headband [check Nordstorm's for a good selection]. If you have no such headband, use a thick chain necklace and wrap it around your head.

Low Pigtails
[medium to long hair]
Seen on the Prada runway, this has become a phenomenon. To start, apply a light hairspray all over your hair. Gently tease. Create a deep part. About half an inch below your ears secure two ponytails with a thin, dark hair tie. If you have your part in the center, or if the ponytails are placed any higher, it will look like a childish rendition, so be careful! To complete this couture look, add bold lips and vintage looking sunglasses.

All of the 2010 looks together.! Messy side braids are easy to achieve by teasing and hair gel. Bows can be found at basically any store [forever21, saks, nordstroms, etcc.] You could also make your own. Create a flat top with hair gel and bobby pins. Create a high ballerina bun with teasing, hairspray, and twisting the hair around a central focused point on the top of your head.

Good Luck this summer!

I'm Bringin' Color Back

Thats right; no more of that dull white inner corner eyes with black eyeliner and black outer lids. The hottest thing right now? Color. Decorate your face with pale yellow eyeshadows, dark green mascara, and candy pink lips. The best way to rock your color palletes is to pick one part of your face to highlight: eyes or lips. As of right now do NOT mix. For my medoll I picked eyes. I started with white eye shadow highlights on the inside corners. I then did a little bit of ice blue shadow on the outer corners. Finally I swept pale yellow eye shadow all over the lid. Black mascara applied, then another extra coat of dark green mascara. Black eyeliner surrounding the entire eye. Lips are completly nuetral, and my hair is dark and contrasting with my pale skin. To finish your look, pair this with bold, chunky earrings. Mine are Hotbuys.

This new color trend doesn't just apply to your makeup; experiment with your wardrobe too! Pull out some vintage dresses/skirts/blouses to rock your new look.

DKNY. Worth it?

How much are you willing to pay for the DKNY scuba? Some girls; a lot. Up to 550sd. But is it worth it? When you go to someones suite and see that they have the scuba or first edition DKNY what do you think? She's rich? She's elite? Admit it; we all think that. It can become obsessive. It's all just a game; Elizabeth&James, LE, DKNY...it's our competitive nature coming out through fashion. You need to be careful when shopping and trading. It's all just an image.
